Specially formulated on tung oil to give maximum protection and durability to marine and other external woodwork with a high gloss finish. It does not contain polyurethane and therefore will not flake or peel from the surface.
At least three coats should be applied and it is best to treat wood during warm, dry weather. New wood should be fine sanded and cracks filled with rustin's woodstopping. Rustin's grainfiller and rustin's wood dye can also be applied prior to varnishing. Previously varnished surfaces can be coated if the surface is intact, but should be cleaned with white spirit.
If the old finish is flaking or peeling it should be removed with strypit paint & varnish stripper. Weather stains can be removed using rustin's wood bleach once the wood has been stripped.
